D.O.T. Approved Honda Big Red Turn Signals
The Honda Big Red Turn Signals are intended to help you convert your off-road UTV (side-by-side) to a street legal ride in many states. In addition our kits include parts that are actually D.O.T. approved items. That is to say, you will need these while converting your off-road recreational vehicle to street legal status. Meanwhile, be careful as some of our competitors out their Do Not use D.O.T. approved parts. Consequently, they will sell you a Honda Big Red turn signals kit that it is not D.O.T. approved.
All states have their own D.O.T. requirements for street legal equipment. Most importantly, check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). Certainly get the information for your local requirements. Furthermore, most states require a Horn (120 db+), Lighted License Plate and Turn Signals. However, not all states require turn signals (hand signals are ok). Above all, we highly recommend turn signals for your added safety. That is to say, we know through experience that some drivers DO NOT know what hand signals are.
Why Our Honda Big Red Turn Signals are Completely Independent
I get asked a few times every month, why don’t you use the Honda Big Red rear OEM lights for the rear turn signals? The answer is very simple. I developed my Turn Signal Kits (TSK) to be completely independent for THREE main reasons. ONE, you do not want any possible feedback from the LED Electronic Flasher into the ECU of your UTV. Consequently, electronic feedback can cause problems with your ECU and they are very expensive to replace. TWO, you do not want to affect (invalidate) your manufactures warranty by tapping into any existing OEM lights or wiring. THREE, you want both rear stop lights when activating the turn signals (like our automobiles), not just one. As a result, with all my different Honda Big Red turn signal kits you will never have these concerns or issues.

The 2009-13 Honda Big Red MUV models use our Custom Turn Signal Switch (TSS) Mounting Bracket. To clarify, this custom bracket was designed to mount the turn signal switch below the steering wheel on the dash. Used with our stock #105 LED Turn Signal Kit. As a result, order from the drop down box Turn Signal Switch Mounting Hardware.

LED Turn Signal Kit

This is a 12 volt LED Turn Signal Kit with 2 Amber (front) and 2 Red (rear) or your choice of all Amber D.O.T. approved LED lights. Our LED light kit comes with two 4″x 2″ inch rectangular amber (front) and two 4″x 2″ inch rectangular red (rear) LED lights. However, you can substitute the rear lights for the ¾” SM LED lights. Therefore, to give your Honda Big Red a custom look.
Honda Big Red Turn Signals Specifications
This LED light kit comes with a column mounted turn signal switch. First of all, it has a pilot light for the turn signals and 4-way emergency flashers (hazard warning). Secondly, our turn signal switch has a pull out flare tab for the 4-way hazard lights. Finally, it comes with the hardware to mount it to your steering column.
The four LED Lights are 4”x 2” rectangular with 16 (LED) Light Emitting Diodes each. In addition, they have a polycarbonate lens & housing and come with encapsulated electronics to eliminate corrosion. Also, you can substitute the 4″x 2″ (rear) LED lights for the ¾” SM LED lights to add a custom look.
This special LED Flasher has the 3 pin connections for LOAD, PILOT and POWER. Also, the electronic LED flasher is quite, no annoying clicking sounds.
Our kit includes: 2 Amber and 2 Red or all Amber D.O.T. approved LED lights. Secondly, the turn Signal Switch and the hardware to mount it to your steering column (see TSS mounting hardware notes above). Furthermore, the LED Flasher, an ATC in-line fuse holder with a 3 amp fuse. Also, the self tapping screws for mounting the lights and flasher. In addition, the mounting installation instructions with wiring instructions & diagram. Most importantly, with our Honda Big Red turn signals you get all the help and support you need from EZ Turn Signal Kits.
Important Note
Note FYI: I have heard people say that a column mounted Turn Signal Switch (TSS) is in the way of you entering and exiting the unit, not true! Secondly, they say you will bump the TSS lever with your legs and even break that lever, again not true! In other words, I am 6’3″ and 250 pounds, I have never bumped the TSS and I use my units multiple times a day. Finally, I have sold thousands of the column mounted TSS and never had a customer complain about bumping or breaking one.

This kit can be easily installed, it does not go into any factory wiring and above all it will not void your manufactures warranty! In addition, each wire has a different color and the wiring diagram shows where each colored wire goes. Above all, I include my phone number and e-mail address with the instructions. This turn signal switch has been installed on thousands of units, very nice and easy to operate. Meanwhile, the Motor Vehicle Department and your local police departments will be impressed. Most noteworthy, everyone who rides on the street or off road (dunes/congested areas), should have turn signals for their added safety.

Likewise you can substitute the 4″x 2″ (rear) LED lights for the ¾” SM LED lights to add a custom look. As a result, order from the drop down box Light Options: 2 Amber ¾” LED Lights or 2 Red ¾” LED Lights or 4 Amber ¾” LED Lights or 4 Red ¾” LED Lights.

We have some Custom Kit Brackets, UTV Wire & Connector Kit and Dash Indicators. Therefore, you may want to use these with your LED Turn Signal Kit. That is to say, any of these options purchased with your kit, will save you time & money!
Option1 – Your choice of lights to make your UTV have a custom look.
Option2 – Turn Signal Switch (TSS) mounting hardware for your particular year, make and model.
Option3 – If you don’t have a rear bumper, you might want to use our Rear T-Brackets (4″ x 2″ lights only).
Option4 – UTV Wire and Connector Kit, to clarify this kit will make it easy to connect your turn signals.
Option5 – Dash Indicators for those that want one or two dash indicators.
